About Highpointe Preschool and Child Care

ur program is one of child development, which focuses on the daily activities of the children in Preschool. We provide developmentally appropriate early childhood education for children between the ages of 16 months and five years.	Our philosophy is one that sees children as being fully knowledgeable individuals, not "empty vessels" that need to be filled with adult knowledge. They are willing and able to share what they know with others.
The facility currently consists of three large preschool classrooms, a spacious large-motor room, a toddler room, and boys' and girls' restrooms. Our newest preschool classroom is totally finished. In the Fall of 2011 we will open a brand new resource and discover room. We are located on a cul-de-sac, and sit on 6.37 acres of mostly grass and trees. Parking is never a problem. 	A city park, with a sledding hill, ice rink, and warming house, is located just outside of our back door, creating a 23 acre playground for our students. Click here to see an aerial view. It doesn't get better than this!
Our Administration consists of trained and certified professionals. Our Director, and full-time teacher, holds a Masters Degree in education and has over 16 years experience in a variety of early childhood and elementary educational settings. Others hold degrees in Child Psychology, and Computer Science. All staff members are required to be certified in both first aid and CPR.	Director / Teacher - Jeanne Croteau
	You really need to come and take a look for yourself to appreciate our surroundings. It is common to look out our window and see four or five deer grazing under the trees in our back yard. The children love planting the vegetable garden in the Spring. The huge shaded sandbox is a popular play area in the summertime. Parking is never a problem.
